Congratulations to our U16 Basketball team last week who won their U16 regional final versus Woodbrook college. The opening quarter was played at a frenetic pace in what was a very physical game and De La Salle down 11-15. The 2nd quarter looked like a different game. Players such as Joshua Esguerra, Miguel Hernandez and Alejandro Rodriguez drove the team forward and helped reverse the score with De La Salle winning by a 10 point margin by half time.
The damage seemed to be done with Woodbrook upping the pace but unable to close the gap. The final score of 44-37 to De La Salle was celebrated by players and supporters. The school is extremely proud of the team and players and look forward to them competing in the All Irelands in the new year. Best of luck and remember WE ARE SALLE!
