Past Pupil Sean McLoughlin (Class of 2009), who is a Councilor for the Dundrum ward of DunLaoghaire Rathdown County Council, continues to do fantastic work within the local community. Sean has been particularly pro active during the Covid -19 emergency which has gripped the nation over the last few weeks.
At the outset of the crisis Sean set up the 'Ballinteer Isolation Support', this initiative provides vital services to vulnerable people or people who may be 'cocooning' in the Ballinteer area and its surrounds.
Over the last number of weeks the Ballinteer Isolation Support have delivered shopping, collected medical prescriptions, provided hot meals, delivered 'Goody Bags' to front line workers and lots more besides. What a fantastic voluntary service to provide for our community during such testing times.
We as a school would like to congratulate Sean on his work in leading this fantastic initiative, you are a wonderful role model for our current student body.
If Ballinteer Isolation Support can be of help to anyone or someone you know they can be contacted by emailing ballinteertoday@gmail.com or by calling/texting 0877411638
