November 2012
Over the last 2 weeks students of 1-1 and 2-1 have taken part in the Team Hope Christmas Shoebox Appeal. Each student donated €4 which was spent on many different items to fill the boxes, including colouring books, toothbrushes, toothpaste, socks, soap and toys. This year the Team Hope shoeboxes from Ireland will go to street children, orphans, kids in hospital, poor families and victims of war in countries such as Romania, Eastern Croatia, Moldova, Ukraine, Allbania and Congo.
Life can be bleak. With little to look forward to, Christmas is just another day for these children and although these shoeboxes won't change everything they may bring a little hope, a lot of smiles and a practical expression of God's love at Christmas-time to children who have very little.
Thank you to all the boys who participated.
Ms A. Jordan
